Shar Mathipalarajah

My name is Shar, and I am a First-Class Honours graduate in Criminology and Sociology. I offer tutoring in Maths and English from KS1 to GCSE, as well as support for SATs, 11+ and 13+ Entrance Exams, and A Level English Literature. My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s individual needs, ensuring academic progress and long-term confidence.

With over four years of tutoring experience, I specialise in supporting students with SEN and mental health challenges. I have worked with a wide range of learners and have developed a strong understanding of how to adapt lessons to different needs and personalities. I focus on helping students rebuild confidence, develop organisation, and get back on track with their education. I see myself not just as a teacher, but as a mentor and supportive guide — like an older sister — helping each student grow both academically and personally.
