Vilashini Sarveswaran

I am an experienced and enthusiastic Maths and Science tutor with over 20 years of tutoring experience, supporting students from primary level through to GCSE and A level. I have a BSc in Agriculture and an MSc in Bioprocess Technology, with a strong background in Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

I can support students in Maths up to GCSE, Biology, Chemistry and physics at GCSE, and Chemistry at A-level. I also have experience supporting students with SATs and 11+ preparation and developing confidence in core skills.

My teaching approach is patient, encouraging and student-centred. I build positive relationships with learners, identify their individual strengths and areas for development, and adapt lessons to suit their learning needs. I use questioning, practical examples, demonstrations, guided practice and regular feedback to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorising answers.

I particularly enjoy helping students who lack confidence in Maths or Science to recognise their abilities and make steady progress. I am also developing my experience in supporting students with additional learning needs and am passionate about creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.

I am DBS-checked and committed to helping every student become a more confident and independent learner.
